Finally I've managed to post this! I must try harder to get my styling the seasons posts done at the beginning of the month. This month has escaped me a bit (which being January is kind of a good thing), back to school, a week by myself with the boys - never easy - and of course redesigning the blog have all taken up precious time. I cannot thank my lovely Timbo - also know as the tech brains behind my blog - enough for all the work he's done on this. And also Teri at The Lovely Drawer for my new logo - I love it.
It's about this time of year that I start itching for warmer days. I'm not a huge summer person, though I love the flowers, but I do get a bit fed up of wrestling everyone into coats and trying to entertain them indoors because it's too cold to be outside. I'm also desperate to get out into the garden. I was a bit lazy at the end of summer and all my roses need pruning and the beds need a good tidy but it will all have to wait for it to get a bit warmer - I am not an all weather gardener.
So this month I decided to bring the outside in with a naturally gardening feel to my images. I love seeing snowdrops peeking up from the ground, they make me feel so hopeful. I bought these as bulbs in the green and potted them up to have inside. Then I can plant the bulbs outside when they die back and they'll grow again next year.
I love white at this time of year too. After the chaos of Christmas I like the calmness of a simple white palette. Although my instagram account is clear evidence that I can't resist the spring pastels either.
